I was looking to start an in home garden since many plants cannot grow in the area I live in. I was looking online and everyone was raving about led grow lights but the kit is like in the thousands for what I want to grow. Before I just to such an investment I wanted to see if they really worked. I was looking to see if I could find what type of LED lights are used in the LED Grow lights but it doesn't state on any site what they use. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of LED such as 5mm 3mm, LUMINOUS INTENSITY, VIEWING ANGLE, D WAVE LENGTH, or even if lens color matters, of if clear will do it I should use. To be honest I don't even know how to wire all this but I will learn. I will not go broke just trying to feed my family, I have to do something and this is a way out for us. If anyone has any clue what I should use, please let me know or at least guide me in the right direction. Thank you

should not led grow lights that are only emitting light in the spectrum the plants use since led lights are 3 5 x more efficient than incandescent and high pressure sodien and metal hydride, shouldn't the leds that are not even putting out light in useless parts of the spectrum be 10x or better for grwoing plants?

what is better a blue or red led grow light for " growing" I read something about the plant needed blue light for it early growth and red light for its older growth. They also have grow lights that are blue and red but for every 3 red LED bulb there would be 1 blue LED bulb, so should i get it? all three have the same wattage and cost 110 watts for $35
